The company was originally formed in 2001 as a special performance curriculum option for the River Raisin Dance Academy. After several successful seasons, the company was reorganized as a separate resident company of the RRCA, a non-profit organization.
The RRB holds open auditions each year for serious-minded ballet students. The classical ballet training offered at the RRCA Dance Academy continues to provide a stepping stone for company members. The discipline, elegance, and achievement of the company have been well noted throughout the Monroe county area. |

“Their work reflects a highly sophisticated classical training. Their technique is strong and sure.
Their jumps are strong and pliant,
their turns assured, and their epaulment and port de bras are detailed and expressive.”
